About The Pig and the Peacock

My sister and I started The Pig and the Peacock as an outlet for our creative passions and to honor of our grandparents. Growing up we spent our summers and holidays on our grandparents’ farm in Georgia. Our grandfather raised pigs, and, to add some class to the place, our grandmother had peacocks. Some of our fondest memories are from those summers on the farm.

We started making gift baskets for family and friends. Next, we started making bath salts, then soaps, and the rest is history. We found that the process of making the soaps, salts, etc allow us to express our creative sides in a way that we cannot in our “day jobs”. We hope you enjoy the products we create as much as we enjoyed making them.

We are members of a Dallas based artists collective, Etsy Dallas, that not only has some extremely talented artisans, but also puts on some kick-ass shows, where you can always find us.

We also belong to the Soap Artisans Friends of Etsy, or SAFEteam, a bath and body group that is committed to the art of soaping and safe manufacturing processes.
